Our tiny home is complete, but we are still collecting hygienic supplies to support the Low Income Housing Institute's tiny home villages and urban rest stops. These locations provide safe, clean places for homeless members of our community to use restrooms, take showers and do their laundry. If you would like to know more or donate, please click here.
With your support, I built a tiny home with my neighbor that will soon provide shelter to a homeless member of our community in a Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) village. Thanks to everyone who made a donation to help off-set building supply costs. I am pleased to share, we exceeded the fundraising goal of $2,700 by almost $1,000 for a total of $3,670. I am also happy to report that the project inspired another family to join forces to build another shelter and we were able to allocate the excess funds we raised towards their material costs.
