The photos below document the progress and stages of our tiny home construction during the summer of 2020.
Home Depot came today with several pallets of building materials.
We got around to sorting through all the materials that were delivered.
We framed in the floor, put on the tongue and groove plywood, flipped it over and installed the insulation. We then attached the skids and flipped the whole thing back over (that's the hard part).
Today we glued down the linoleum.
Today we framed in the walls. This is most satisfying because it starts to look like a real house.
We installed the siding today. We discovered that we forgot to cut down the wall studs. We decided to just make a house that is going to be 9" taller than planned. We figured there had to be tall people in need of a tiny home too :)
We were thankful that today was a very mild day. It's not fun putting on a roof in very hot weather.
As of today, August 7, we have received $3,670 in donations. We are grateful to everyone who helped us surpass our fundraising goal. We are blessed to be surrounded by such a supportive community!
Today we cut and installed the interior plywood walls.
Today cousin Harisson came over. We installed and little window up front and started cutting and installing the exterior trim.
Today we finished installing the interior trim and wrapped it all up.
Today they came with the flatbed truck and picked up the house.
Here are some photos of the house Kjellen and Spencer worked on this summer. We were able to contribute excess donations from our fundraising towards their project.
